INDIAN TRAIL -- Mr. Moore, 80, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital in Matthews, NC. Mr. Moore was born March 19, 1930 in Houston, TX, son of the late Thomas Phillip and Anna Elizabeth Williams Moore. He was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Daniel Moore and a brother, Robert E. Moore.
Visitation will be Friday, December 31, 2010 at Living Way Foursquare Church, 5501 Old Monroe Rd., Indian Trail, NC 28079 beginning at 10:00 A.M. with services to celebrate the life of 'Poppy' to follow at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Bill Graafsma officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Elizabeth Brooks and husband Kevin of Denver, NC, Kathryn Lois McGinn and husband Robert of Indian Trail, NC, Rebecca Denise Greene and husband Mark of Gibsonville, NC; nine grandchildren, Steven Wayne Perkins, Kristen Anna McGinn, Daniel Robert McGinn, Sarah Anne McGinn, Michael Joseph McGinn, Danielle Anna Moore, Cheyenne Lynn Moore, Blaire C. Brooks, and Spenser L. Brooks; one sister, Beverly Robinson of Houston, TX.
McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service of Monroe is serving the family of Mr. Moore.
