Ella Hays

Mrs.Ella Hays Fuhr, 65 wife of George W. Fuhr, Illinois Central engineer, died at 1:15 pm Sunday in her home, 1235 E.Wood street. Death resulted from heart trouble of which Mrs.Fuhr had complained for abut a week.
Mrs. Fuhr was born in Hickory Point township north of Decatur, April 25, 1870, a daughter of Benjamin F. and Christina Hays. All her life with the exception of 18 years when she was a resident of Peoria, was passed in and near Decatur.
As Mrs. Ella Le Master, prior to her marriage to Mr. Fuhr, she for a number of years operated a womens tailoring shop here. She was married to George W. Fuhr Oct. 23, 1910.
She leaves her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Bold of Decatur, three grandchildren, Howard, Betty and Beverly Ann Bold all of Decatur and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs.Rosa Hamilton of Peoria and Samuel, John H. and Charles Seibert and Mrs. Loren E.Campbell, all of Decatur.
Mrs. Fuhrs mother and brother, Eben Hays died in Feb. and a half brother, William Hays died in October.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home with burial in the Fairlawn Mausoleum.
