Roland Hearnsberger was born April 1, 1922, in Smckover, Arkansas, to Jake Hearnsberger and Jessie A. Morrison, and died March 25, 2001, at his residence in Dayton. A former resident of Pasadena, League City, and El Dorado, Arkansas, he had resided in the Dayton area since 1982. He was a retired operator for Amoco Production in Texas City after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Nolan D. Pickett VFW Post #5621 and a veteran of the U.S. Navy with service during World War II. He enjoyed woodworking, yard work, crossword puzzles and playing dominoes. Hearnsberger was preceded in death by his parents; and the mother of his children, Hazel Hearnsberger. Survivors include his wife of nine years, Edie M. Hearnsberger of Dayton; son, J. R. "Buddy" Hearnesberger and his wife, Marie, of Onalaska; daughters, Lucille Schmuck and her husband, Ed, of Dayton and JoDell Jones and her husband, Jacob, of Lake George, Colorado; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
