William Ronald "Bobby" Hobbs

William R. Hobbs, lovingly known as “Bobby" age 79, of Cypress, Texas, passed away May 8, 2018. He was born October 27, 1938, in Baldwin County, Alabama to the late William W. Hobbs and late Earlene Hobbs Westcott.
He was preceded in death by his brothers C.E. Hobbs and Vernon Hobbs, and sister, Edith Hearnsberger.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 60 years, Johnnie Abercrombie Hobbs; son Dennis Alan Hobbs and wife Dolores; daughters Deborah Hobbs Smith and husband Ralph, and Diane Renee Rivera and husband Kenny; brother Arthur Hobbs and wife Baynes, sisters Linda Clark and Kathy Worden and husband, Les. Grandchildren James Milroy and wife Kristen, Brant Smith and wife Jessica, Justin Butterfras, Kortney Rivera, Cody Hobbs and wife Sierra, Kolby Rivera, Kenneth Rivera, Emily Smith, and Micaila Milroy. Great grandchildren, Harley Didas, Marissa Milroy, Talia Rivera, Sophie Smith and Lilly Smith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobby served as a Radio Operator in the United States Marine Corps from 1957-1960. His career included 25 years at Borden Ice Cream and continued in the trucking industry as an owner-operator. He was self-employed for numerous years and finished his long career at Steffani Metals.
He was preceded in death by his brothers C.E. Hobbs and Vernon Hobbs, and sister, Edith Hearnsberger.
