Peter Harmonson

Was First Chief Justice of Young Co, Texas.
His grandson Harvey Sannton Coxwas, was the last Sheriff of Young County, Texas before the county fell apart in 1865.
Peter Harmonson married Anna McGee on 6 August 1816.
Harmonson came with the Peter's Colony to Texas, settling near the present town of Lewisville. He was one of the organizers of Denton County in 1846. Harmonson served as the first Sheriff of Denton County and helped organize the Methodist Church.
In 1854, he sold his property and moved west settling near Fort Belknap.
He died from an arrow wound inflicted by Indians.
