Fleta Hayes

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Murphy Memorial Chapel honoring the memory of Mrs. Fleta McCauley. The Rev. E. Lee Stanford, pastor of First Methodist Church officiated.
Mrs. McCauley, age 80, had been a resident of Donley County 47 years having lived at Lelia Lake. She died Friday morning. Mrs. McCauley was born October 29, 1880 in Center, Texas. She was a member of the Lelia Lake Methodist Church.
Survivors are a son, John of Longview; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Short and Mrs. Mittie Menefee, both of Center; a brother, Grady Hayes of Center; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers were Elmer Chenault, W.W. Jones, Luther Butler, Andy Brown, Leo Smith, and Joe B. Leathers. Interment was in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.
