Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Ida Stout Lowe, age 87, Route 8, Jonesboro, who died at the home of her son, Frank Lowe, Saturday, were held Monday from the Cherokee Baptist Church. The Rev. Joe Strother and the Rev. Horace Bingham officiated. Burial was in the Cherokee Cemetery.
Mrs. Lowe was the widow of the late Alee Lowe and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Johnson County.[sic]
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Emma Reed and Mrs. Kate Brackens of Jonesboro; Mrs. Lucy Walch, Summerville, S. C.; two sons, James E. Lowe and Frank Lowe, of Jonesboro; a sister, Mrs. Eliza Long, Jonesboro; 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
