Mrs. W.A. (Claude) Fikes, 89, of Coaling, died Tuesday night at Park Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be Thursday at the Coaling Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Tuscaloosa Memorial Park.
She was a graduate of the Tuscaloosa Female College and a life-long member of the Coaling Methodist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Irene Tibbs of Coaling, Mrs. Mary Virginia Glover of Attalla and Miss Nell Fikes of Nevada; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Perry Fikes of Tuscaloosa; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be grandsons; Charles W. Tibbs, Jimmy Tibbs, Jerry Glover, Neil Glover, Jim Glover and Neely Foster.
