It couldn't have been easy for you to agree with our father's desire to "see the world" and move to the US, in 1963 with four girls under the age of 6 and only knowing one person, a distant uncle. When the adventure wore off a year later and your request to return to the UK was denied, that must of been unbelievably hard. No family, no support, no friends, no community. I remember when I realized you were only 32. Two more daughters, added to the family, 6 girls under the age of 11. I don't know how you did it. You never made it easy on us but I know you gave everything you had to give in each stage of your life. Forgive me for the times when I gave you less than what I had to give.
You gave me a foundation and from there it was up to me how I built on it. With the love of a good man and my Savior Jesus Christ - I am who I am today.
Rest easy Mother, you are already missed by us all.
