BRYANT, Annabelle Hendricks January 14, 1915 -September 4, 2004 Annabelle, who lived most of her 89 years in Anna, Texas, passed away from the care of this world on Saturday afternoon. She retained clear mental faculties until the last. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Josiah Kelly Bryant, father John Wesley Hendricks, mother Louella Aston Hendricks, two sisters, six brothers, and grandchild, Gary Alan Turner. Annabelle is survived by: her sister Bonnie Trice and husband Bill, her sisters-in-law Jenny Hendricks Bryant and Glenna Gentry Hendricks; eight children and their seven spouses - Patsy Wells and husband Don, Joanne Turner and husband Malcolm, Mary Jane Smith and husband Don, Carolyn Eitel and husband Bill, Martha and husband James, Kelly Bryant and wife Sheila, Cindy Spivey and husband Chuck, and Karen Kincaid; thirty-seven grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, plus numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Annabelle was a superb cook, expert seamstress and involved in the life of her church. In her last few years she was blessed by a weekly Bible study which met in her home. She loved to read and read the entire Bible five times! She enjoyed telling Bible stories and could quote all nursery rhymes, which were taught to her children. She had many witticisms given to her by her father to pass on to her children and friends. Her life was centered on Jesus Christ and her family of 85, whom she prayed for by name every day. We know Annabelle by many names, including "Mother," "Mom," "Mommie Ann," "Ann," "Aunt Bell," "Anna B.," and "The Belle of Anna." This amazing lady will be sorely missed by all of us. A Christian celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, September 7, at the First Christian Church of Anna, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. Prior visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne.
