His second marriage was to Sophia "Zoe" Berner on 17 August 1897 in Luther, Michigan and they had a daughter, Neva. Bryant was a probate judge, county treasurer, and township clerk. He died from cancer of the bowels.

Russell-Andras The marriage of J. C. Russell and Mrs. Sarah Andras took place at the horne of her daughter Mrs. Don Ho-worth in Greenville October 20. The ceremony was performed by Rev. St. Clare Parsons of the Congregational church. Mr. and Mrs. Russell are now occupying their home in this city and receiving the congratulations of their friends.------------------------------
