Joseph Shane Carlisle, 68, of Hampton, husband of Rose Marie Caldwell Carlisle, died Monday, December 26, 2022, at Laurel Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Stockbridge.
Born in Marietta, May 13, 1954, he was a son of the late Joseph Marshall and Nellie Caroline McGuffey Carlisle. He grew up in the Sunnyside area of Spalding County and was retired from ATL Courier after over ten years of service. He loved watching westerns and the Andy Griffith Show. He was an avid member and supporter of the Griffin Moose Lodge #1503 until his health declined.

Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty-seven years are a daughter, Hadan Broach and husband Cody of Griffin; grandchildren, Byron Broach, Bailey Brooks, Cobe Broach, Chole Broach and Logan Brooks; a sister, Mindy Fowler and husband Robert of Griffin; three brothers, David Anderson of McDonough, Robert Anderson and wife Kathy of Mountain Home, ID and Dion Carlisle and wife Michelle of Clawson, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
