DAVID CURTIS BIDWELL AGE: 78 LAKE HIAWATHA
David Curtis Bidwell died peacefully at the Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover, on Wednesday morning, Jan. 14, 2009. He was 78. Born in Camden, he was a resident of Lake Hiawatha for most of his life. A graduate of Oberlin College in Ohio, he was employed as an engineer for 40 years at the former Radio Frequency Laboratory, (RFL), in Boonton Twp. He an accomplished pianist. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Eleanor (Hubbard) Bidwell, and by his brother, Leonard N. Bidwell, both in 2002. He is survived by his three sons, John H. Bidwell of Lake Hiawatha and his fiancee Vicki Haggerty, Kevin S. Bidwell, also of Lake Hiawatha, and David M. and his wife Diane Bidwell of West Milford; his sister, Eleanor Dietz of North Carolina; two grandsons, Christopher and Zachary Bidwell; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 17, at St. John's Episcopal Church, Cornelia St., Boonton. Friends may call at Lewis & Carey, Directors of Funerals, 312 W. Main St., Boonton, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16.
