David Singleterry, 72, of Hobbs, was born September 14, 1940, in Chickasha, OK, to Raymond and Leda Singleterry. He married Judy Gushwa June 1, 2002, in Hobbs. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
David was a very loving and good husband, father and friend. His family and friends were an important part of his life. The love of his life was his wife, Judy. David had been a resident of Heartland Care of Hobbs and Good Samaritan Village in Lovington. He was given loving care in both facilities.
Surviving David is his wife Judy, of Hobbs; two brothers, Paul Singleterry of Mulvane, KS, and Melvin Singleterry of Ovieda, FL; two sisters, Ann Hodge and Donna Sefcik both of Denver City, TX; a son, Allen Singleterry of KS; and two grandsons, Anthony also of KS, and Evan Singleterry of Wichita, KS.
Preceding him in death were his parents and son, Brent Singleterry.
