John Howard “JH�?Hewitt Sr., 72, of Dellwood, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015.
Mr. Hewitt was born Oct. 13, 1942 in Northport, Alabama and moved to Florida in 1974. He was a building contractor in Carrabelle for many years before moving to Dellwood.
He was a very talented carpenter who had built many houses in his life. After he retired, he got great pleasure raising horses, dogs and other animals on his farm.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Daniel Hewitt; mother, Eunice Ovlee Hewitt; brother, William Leonard Hewitt; and son, John Howard Hewitt Jr.
Survivors include his wife Linda Hewitt; son Jeff Hewitt (Wanda); stepson Michael A. Young II (Marsha); grandsons Jeffrey Hewitt Jr. and Justin Hewitt; sister Anna Marie Channel; stepmother Earlene Hewitt Wyers; and stepbrother Donnie Gray (Glenda).
Memorialization by cremation. There will be a small memorial service at Bascom Assembly of God, 5516 Hummingbird Road, Bascom, this Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m
