Chief Warrant Officer Charles Milton Miller, (USAF, Ret.), of San Antonio, Texas, was born in Parkdale, Arkansas October 2, 1914. He died May 14, 2009, after a long battle with prostate cancer and Alzheimer's.
Mr. Miller served in the Air Force and U.S. Civil Service for a total of 53 years of government service.
He was a graduate of St. Mary's University, a member of Kappa Pi Sigma, a member of Castle Hills First Baptist Church where he served in the Prayer Chapel, played the piano for the Blanco Vista Nursing Home for the church service. He also played for the San Antonio Rescue Mission. He was truly a "giver", not a "receiver".
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Delores (Dolly); son, Charles Miller, Jr. of San Antonio; son, Gary Miller and wife Fredalyn Miller of Virginia Beach, VA; three granddaughters, Jennifer Allen and husband John Allen of Spanish Fort, AL, Freidalyn Joy Miller of Virginia Beach, VA, Catherine Miller Lauzon of Virginia Beach, VA; and seven beautiful great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Aidalynn, D.J., Kiah, Isaiah, Kehleh and Lyon.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be private. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Sanford, Scott Templeton, John Hunt, Clay Laster, Tom Lyons, John Hedglin, Joe Johnson, Paul Wright and Chester Wilkes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Castle Hills First Baptist Church, 2220 NW Military Hwy., San Antonio, TX 78213 or the charity of your choice.
