Windell Dale Wood, 59, of Iowa Park, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Pavilion at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery with Mr. Tom Box and Mr. Tommy Antwine, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
Windell was born on January 15, 1959 in Newport, Rhode Island to Dale and Wanda (Moore) Wood. In 1977, he graduated from Burkburnett High School. He retired with over 36 years from Euro-Nato Flight Training Maintenance Complex at SAFB, and was a longtime resident of "The Compound" in Iowa Park. In 2009, he married Juanita Walden in Wichita Falls. Windell enjoyed riding motorcycles, loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and always lived life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Wood; and his daughter, Frankie Foster.
He is survived by his father, Dale Wood; his loving wife, Juanita Wood; his son, Brady Foster and wife Amanda all of Iowa Park; his daughter, Heather White of Burkburnett; his brother, Baron Wood and wife Patti; his sister, Renee Roberts and husband Randy both of Iowa Park; five grandchildren, Gracie, Dallas, Hannah, Jana, and Owen; two nieces and two nephews.
