Earl Eugene Vanzant

Earl Eugene Vanzant was born December 19, 1926 in Mason, Oklahoma. He departed this life Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the age of 85 years, 1 month, and 17 days. On November 1, 1950 Earl Eugene Vanzant and Mable Lee Ralston were united in marriage in Arkansas. From this union were born two sons, Eddie Dean and Danny Gene, and one daughter, Frankie Kay. Mable preceded him in death February 9, 2010 after 59 years of marriage.
He was employed by Tulsa Crude Oil, and Osage Trucking for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, cattle, reading westerns and spending time with his family.
He is survived by one daughter, Kay Evans of Bristow, one son, Danny Vanzant and wife Sandy of Bristow. One brother, Donald Vanzant of Welty. Eight grandchildren, Brian Vanzant & wife Rachel, Tony Vanzant & wife Rachel, Jason Vanzant and wife Sarah, Tommy Evans and wife Michelle, Kelly Evans, Nicholas Vanzant, Laticia Lambert & Maria Hargis. Nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Eddie Dean Vanzant, and granddaughter, Patti Ann Vanzant Webb.
Funeral services are scheduled 10:30AM Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Zickefoose officiating. Interment will follow at Welty Cemetery.
