Passed away Sunday, October 1, 1995. Mrs. Russell was born December 4, 1924, in Lang, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of John A. and Fern E. (Brown) Irvine, and was a resident here since 1969 coming from Vancouver, British Columbia. She served with the Canadian Army during WWII, and before retirement was employed by Park Royal Bank in Vancouver. On August 10, 1956, she was married to George H. Russell, who survives. Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Deborah Russell of Kalamazoo; 3 grandchildren, Douglas Brent, Donald Leroy, and Denise J. and her fiance', Jeff; 4 sisters and 1 brother, Maurine Fullmore of Calgary, Alberta, Thelma Bettschen of Regina, Saskatchewan, Gwenith Gonyou and Garth Irvine, both of Chilliwack, British Columbia; several neices and nephews; Joe and Kay Stanton, and their children, Conway, Troy, and Stacy, and many other dear friends. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Douglas, Larry, and Darrell Irvine. A memorial service will be held 3 o'clock Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Church, 5224 East Main St., with Rev Mr. Preston Porter officiating.
