YAKIMA - Iness M. Irvine (86) of Yakima passed away in Yakima on November 16, 2010. She was born in Buena Heights, WA on October 10, 1924 to Charles and Versal (Mitchael) Monroe. She graduated from Zillah High School in 1941 and married Howard Irvine in 1945. Iness was a member of the Buena 1st Baptist Church. They lived in Toppenish where they raised their son and she worked many years at Del Monte in various capacities. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her pets, held numerous offices in her church and was den mother for her son's cub scout group. She is survived by three sisters, Alice Sander of Yakima, Yvonne Mork of Zillah and Pauline Chennette of Yakima; two brother-in-laws, James Reece of Burlington, WA and Gary Irvine of Yakima; two nephews, Randy (Tam) Mork of Zillah and Dr. Lane C. Sander of Gaithersburg, MD; and a niece, Chari (Arnold) Hammer of Wapato. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard and her son, John. Visitation will be on Thursday November 18, 2010 at Colonial Funeral Home from 1-4 PM. A graveside service will be on Friday at the Zillah City Cemetery at 1 PM. Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
