George T. Maggard died yesterday at the Soldiers' Home, and his remains were taken to the undertaking establishment of Herman Stormer, where they were prepared for shipment.
J. E. Haldeman of LaBelle came over to take the body back with him. Uriah Stephenson also died at the home, and was taken to Mr. Stormer's establishment, from where it [remains of Mr. Stephenson] was shipped this noon to Gladstone, Illinois, accompanied by a daughter of the deceased.

During the month of February, there were nineteen deaths at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home, according to the official report of the superintendent. Of the nineteen residents who died, all but one succumbed in the Home, the single exception being the death of Philip Damm, which occurred while he was on a furlough. The list is as follows:
