Memorial Service Saturday, July 1, Arvada United Methodist Church, 68th & Carr. Celebration of Life, July 14, La Dolce Vita, 4:00 p.m. to close. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Doug Ostrander Memorial Fund at Choice Bank in Arvada.

Doug Ostrander, former owner of La Dolce Vita, was an important and noteworthy contributor to the revitalization efforts in Historic Olde Town Arvada. Therefore, a special certificate of appreciation was presented to his family during the event and a memorial brick will be placed in his honor in Olde Town. Mayor Fellman noted during the memorial service for Doug, "If every citizen gave back to the community just half of what Doug did, this would be an even greater community."
