Edward Maurice Hoffman

Ed Hoffman, 41, of Cheyenne died Dec. 14 at the Davis Hospice Center.
He was born May 5, 1969, in Cheyenne, a son of Fred and Janell (March) Hoffman.
Mr. Hoffman attended East High School, and for the past 25 years he has worked in the restaurant business, most notably as a chef for such restaurants as Gretchen's in Sun Valley, Idaho, The Garden Café in Lincoln, Neb., and such local establishments as Little America and Poor Richards.
He enjoyed playing his guitar, working on cars, riding motorcycles, listening to rock-n-roll and taking his boys fishing.
Ed is survived by his wife, Wendy Jo (Humphrey) Hoffman of Cheyenne; five children, Edward M. Hoffman, Jr., Jonathan P. Hoffman, Hunter Petsch, Hayden Petsch and Sam Petsch, all of Cheyenne; his parents, Fred and Janell Hoffman of Cheyenne; his brother, Todd Hoffman of Cheyenne; two sisters, Leanna Butki of Douglas and Jennifer Casey of Cheyenne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Letha Hoffman, and his maternal grandparents, Maurice "Skoop" and Virginia March.
At his family's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Schrader Chapel with Pastor Jeff Maness officiating. A private family interment service will take place at a later time.
