Anthony Scott Allen

Anthony Scott Allen, 64, of Sanford, MI passed away Wednesday, July 21st, 2022 after a long and courageous fight. He was born January 18th, 1958, in Midland, MI the son of the late Joan (Beebe) Allen and Sherwood (Bud) E. Allen. He was married to the love of his life, Glori (Geiersbach) Allen for 44 years, and together they raised four children: Anthony Allen, Robert (Karri) Allen, Michelle (Garth) VanWert, and Matthew (Tavin) Allen.
He spent 26 years serving in the National Guard, an honor he did not take lightly. After retiring from the Guard, he passed his days camping, hunting, tinkering with his fish tank, and going to fairs. He was a proud member of the Meridian Church of God and you could easily find him there most every Sunday morning. He had an adventurous spirit that never wavered and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, often with his wife or sons by his side.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sherwood Allen and Joan (Beebe) Allen; an infant brother, Rodney Allen; a brother-in-law, Steven Geiersbach; and a great-niece, Keagen Leah.
He is survived by his wife, four children, three grandchildren: Hailey, Jayden, and Taylor; and 11 nieces and nephews. Services for Tony will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Meridian Church of God, 2130 N Meridian Rd, Sanford. Anthony's family will receive friends at the church for visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Military honors were performed after the service at Midland Memorial Gardens.
