STEPHENVILLE Maxine Reynolds Moore, 82, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, in a Marble Falls Nursing Home. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at the Snyder Cemetery in Snyder, Texas.
Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.
Maxine was born June 1, 1927, in Dunn, Texas, to Wesley and Clara Corbell Reynolds.
Her parents died when she was young. She was raised by her paternal grandmother Mrs. A.G. Reynolds. Maxine graduated from Snyder High School in 1944. She went to work for the Scurry County Times after graduation. She married Haywood Moore on Jan. 18, 1946. To this union was born four children, Sue Ann, Linda, Dan Lee and Janell. During their 31-year marriage, they lived in Texas, Oregon, California and New Mexico.
Maxine retired from Walgreen Drug in Odessa, Texas, in 1995 after 26 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Moore; her parents; an infant sister; her grandmother; and her son, Dan Lee.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Ann Carr of Stephenville, Linda and her husband Glen Shepherd of Burleson, Janell and her husband Ronnie Hopper of Granite Shoals; nine grandchil-dren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her Walgreen's family; and special friends Dorothy McPherson and Donna Everhart of Odessa.
