Emma Ransford was born in about 1570 in England. She married William Stearns in 1596 in England, and had at least two children. She survived her husband, who died in 1603 in England, but it is not known when she died. (Some claim she lived to 103, but offer no documentation ... 3-digit lifetimes are always a flag for skepticism). Their son Isaac sailed the ocean from England to Colonial America in 1630 with the Winthrop Fleet, but Emma may or may not have been alive at that time ... and may or may not have remained in England.
