Services for George W. Davis, a former Dallas police officer, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Restland
Mr. Davis died Monday of a heart attack at his Dallas home. He was 90.
The native of Canton, Texas, moved to Dallas in 1924 and joined the Dallas Police Department as a patrolman. He served for 30 years, leaving in 1957 as a warrants officer.
He then worked for the Hilton Corp. for 12 years, serving as security chief. He retired from that job in 1968.
Survivors include his wife, Christie Sides Davis of Dallas.
