Lynae Rae Evans, 64, of Garden City, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, in Colton, S.D.
She was born April 13, 1944, in Las Animas, Colo., to Clinton and Dorothy Burns. She grew up in Las Animas, graduating from Bent County High School in Las Animas in 1962.
A Garden City resident since 1968, Mrs. Evans had been a partner in Garden City Fire and Safety for 21 years and worked in the admissions department of St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City for 12 years before her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, embroidery and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service was at Cornerstone Church, 2901 N. Eighth St., in Garden City. Burial and a second memorial service was at the First Methodist Church in Las Animas.
