KERRVILLE - Dale L. Douglass, 74, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on September 23, 2006, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Douglass was born on December 6, 1931, in Chillicothe, Texas, to Roy and Grace Lankford. She grew up and attended school in Chillicothe. After graduating high school, she moved to Lubbock where she met Frank Douglass; they were married March 1, 1951. They settled in Euless in 1955, where she owned and operated Euless Florist for 39 years. In Euless, she was active in the First United Methodist Church and also the Garden Club. Ten years ago Dale and Frank retired to Kerrville where they joined the First United Methodist Church and the Keystone Sunday School Class. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bridge and working crossword puzzles. She and her husband loved to travel, especially in their RV, and have both visited all 50 states. Dale was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and special friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Stephen Douglass.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; son, Caryand wife Amanda ; grandchildren, Will and Nick ; niece, Nelda ; nephews, Tommy Gene and Cotton; and her extended family, Victor and Martha, Margaret, June , and Fred and Sybil , all of the mid-cities area.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at First United Methodist Church in Kerrville with the Rev. Warren Hornung officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
