Leonard Lorenzo Cole

(4 Apr 1867 - 13 Feb 1911)

Died 11 days after his daughter, Gracie O. Cole.
February 16, 1911, Wills Point Chronicle: Leonard Cole, whose illness is mentioned in the Mt. Pisgah items elsewhere in this paper, died Monday about noon at his late residence in Mt Pisgah community. The remains were interred in the Morris Chapel cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Cole had been ill only a very short time, first taking the measles and later developing pneumonia. This family has been very unfortunate, a little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cole having died two weeks ago. Mr. Cole was a consistent member of the Methodist church and was an exemplary citizen. His death will be a distinct loss to the county as well as the immediate community in which he lived. He is survived by his widow, two daughters and a son; his father N. D. Cole of Rast; and three brothers, N. D. Cole, Jr. of Edgewood, M. C. Cole of Tundra and Elbert Cole of Jones county. The Chronicle joins the many friends of the family in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones in their great sorrow. Contributor L. G. Shinn #47380634
