Funeral services for Doris G. Buckelew, 75, of Paducah, will be held at 2 pm Sunday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Rev. Doug Kineman will officiate. Burial with military rites will follow at Brooks Memorial Park.
She died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Lourdes Hospital.
Doris was born December 13, 1933 at Rhodell, West Virginia to the late Glen and Mildred (Hollingshead) Cadle, who resided in Odd, W.V.
She served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 31 for over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth E. Buckelew; her husband, Curtis E. Buckelew; two brothers, Kenneth Cadle of West Virginia and Gordon Cadle of Rockford, IL; and two sisters, Sharon N. Burlingame of Kevil, KY and JoAnna Cadle Bolen of Kevil, Ky.
She is survived by two children, Harmon E. Buckelew and wife Brenda of Paducah and Mary K. Buckelew Sill and husband Mark of Castro Valley, CA; five grandchildren, Ryan Sill, Jessica Berry, Trevor Sill, Samantha Hlad, and Ali Sill; one step grandson, Jerry Nalley; three great-grandchildren, Sydney, Camryn and Kyra Patterson; a sister, Glenna Cadle Carrico of Taylorville, IL; a brother, Glen Cadle of Virginia, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
