Barbara Clara Harrison of Laurel went to be with the Lord on Saturday December 1, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 3, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Memory Chapel. Rev. Scott Davis will officiate. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. She was a lifelong resident of Jones County. She was a retired social worker. Barbara married Bobby Ray Harrison on October 15, 1953. Barbara Harrison loved many people and so many were considered family that it is impossible to name everyone that she touched. She will be missed by all that came to know her. Barbara Harrison became a member of Kingston Assembly of God church in 1954. She loved to share her love of the Lord with all she knew. She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father; Lonnie and Sudie Mae Parker, brother Lawrence Alexander Parker, Sister Margie Ann Smith and nephew Lawrence Alexander Parker Jr. She is survived by her husband Bobby Harrison. Two children Teresa Ann Harrison and Kenny Ray Harrison and his wife Tammy. They also considered Charlotte Breland and her husband Eddie their daughter. Grandchildren Amanda Broadway, Stephanie Rose and husband Calvin, Erica Blackledge and husband Brian and Jason Phillips. Great grandchildren Katie Walters, Ethan Walters, Carter Rose, Ada Grace Blackledge and Ella Claire Blackledge. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and extended family. Pallbearers will be Greg Smith, Steven Pittman, Carl Baker, Steven Baker, Calvin Rose and Brian Blackledge. Honorary pallbearers will be brother in law Tommy Harrison. Visitation will be held Sunday Dec. 2, 2012 at Memory Chapel from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
