James Henry (Jimmy) Gottler was born on August 14, 1953 to John P. Gottler Sr. and Thelma Sheppard Gottler of Elberta. He died December 25, 2020.
Jimmy was a diesel mechanic by trade and worked in the areas of tractor and equipment repair and maintenance. He retired in December 28, 2015 from the Baldwin County Commission, Silverhill Highway Department.
In retirement, he enjoyed farming, raising cattle and rebuilding tractors with friends. He was active in St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church in Elberta. Jimmy retired from active duty with the Elberta Volunteer Fire Department but continued to work at the Elberta Sausage Festivals held in the spring and fall. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to the community.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Highway 98 East, Elberta AL
