SHEPPARD, Rev. Thomas Jefferson, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at his home. Mr. Sheppard was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Forwood Sheppard.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie B. Sheppard; 3 daughters, Suzanne Sheppard, Melinda (Jim) Jackson, Sharon (Dan) Hudson; 3 sons, Thomas Jefferson (Amy) Sheppard, Jr., Rev. Dan (Linda) Sheppard, John (Carol) Sheppard; 3 step children, Wendy Hobbie, Brenda Hobbie, Brandon Hobbie; brother, Henry (Elaine) Sheppard; 14 grandchildren; 1 step granddaughter; 6 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; Marie Davis, Tom's caregiver that has become a part of the family.
Funeral services will be at Whitfield United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2011 with Rev. Robbie Sims and Rev. Francis Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Bradford's Chapel Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. All ministers from the Alabama and West Florida Conference will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Memorials can be made to Whitfield United Methodist Church, Montomery or Blue Lake Camp Grounds, Andalusia, AL
