CHAPPELL, CARL age 87, of Rock Creek Taylors Ferry Road, AL, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012. Carl Chappell was a very generous, loving and hardworking man. He retired from U.S. Steel in 1982. He was a pillar and well respected member of the community. Mr. Chappell loved farming and raising farm animals. He will be greatly missed by all family members, friends and his pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Chappell and Leslie; his brothers, Bonnie, Graham, Edward and Grady and his sister, Ester Mae Amerson.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jimmie Lou; his daughter, Scottie B. and his son, Bobby Steven.
Funeral services will be held at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Rev. James Johnson will be officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
