Paul joined the United States Navy in June of 1943 and served his country during World War II. He was honorably discharged in February of 1946. During his service he was decorated with the Victory, American Campaign and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medals with 4 stars, also the Philippine Liberation Campaign Ribbon with 1 star.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Sadie Warner; 4 brothers, Fred Buck (Wilbert Charlie), Paul, Ben (Benjamin Kenneth) and Frank Warner; 5 sisters, Zelma, Iona, Cecil Mae, Joan and Janice.
Paul is survived by his wife, Shirley Warner; 1 son, Timothy Paul Warner; 1 daughter, Karen Kendal Porter; 8 grandchildren, Timothy Chad Warner, Kristina Jean Warner, Cher Dawn Smith, Russ Robert Warner, Rebecca Ann Boyd, James Patrick Porter, Paul Douglas (PJ) Porter, Jr., Sarah Kaitlyn Porter; 11 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. The family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the Lowry City United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
