"Patience the Daughter of Caleb Cole and Jemima his wife was born November the first day 1732 and on the Second day of the Weeke." Vital Records of Swansea, MA, Book B, p. 129.

Jemima was the youngest daughter and youngest child of John & Elizabeth (Viall) Thomas. Her sister, Sarah Thomas, married Nathaniel Cole Jr, who was a younger brother of her husband, Caleb Cole... The two women are often confused and mingled together as Sarah Jemima Thomas Cole but are, in reality, separate and distinct. Jemima (1710-1780) and Sarah (1704-1787). Both Couples are buried in this cemetery, AKA Old Baptist Cemetery of Swansea.
