Second son of Sir William Mallory and Jane Norton, grandson of Sire John Mallory and Margaret Thwaites, Sir John Norton and Margaret Warde.
Husband of Ursula Gale, the daughter of George Gale, Lord Mayor of York and Mary Lord. They had nine sons and seven daughters including John, William, Thomas, Jane, Anne, Dorothy and Eleanor.
Ursula was living in 1586, but predeceased William, who was buried 22 March 1603.
