H.W. Mathews Dies; Once Lived Here
H.W. Mathews, 78, of Wylam, died Tuesday night after an illness of several months. He was formerly a resident of Tuscaloosa County.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Angwin Mortuary in Ensley with burial in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife and three daughters, Mrs. Ronald Johnson of Wylam, Mrs. Annie Reid of Birmingham and Mrs. Eugene Bedford of Jasper; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
