James Henry Twinn Sr.

(6 Jul 1891 - 13 Mar 1938)

Son of William Glasscock & Rachel Twinn. Born in England and orphaned in 1900, he was brought to Canada as a "Barnardo Boy" in 1902. He was placed as an indentured servant to Frederick G. Sandy in Omemee, Onario. At the age of 17, he ran away from the farm and joined a traveling circus. Husband of Louise Bell (Loeser) Twinn, [Married: September 20, 1913], and later, Anna Bell (Dotson) Twinn, [Married: Febrary 3, 1930]. Father of James Henry Twinn, Jr., Rose Louise Twinn, Spencer Robert Twinn, Edgar Thompson "Scotty" Twinn, Willow Esther (Twinn) Rodgers, Elbert Alfred "Bo" Twinn, Gertrude Anna (Twinn) White, Louis Bell Twinn, Clarence Richard Twinn, Betty Jean Twinn, Bernice Polly Twinn & Walter Eugene Twinn.
He learned to play six instruments while traveling with a circus and spent his life as a musician.
