Betty Lee Munson, 74, passed peacefully away surrounded by her family and friends on June 27, 2006, at James River Care Center in Springfield, Missouri. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched with her love, smile and sense of humor. Her family will carry her strength, kindness, and love until they meet again. Betty believed in helping people and for many years, she took care of senior citizens in nursing homes until her health failed. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Ella Mae Munson a brother, Daniel Munson, Jr. and a granddaughter, Angela Reese. Betty was survived by her children: daughter, Carolyn Poag and husband, Mark daughter, Betty Hoots and husband, Larry son, Louis Twinn and wife, Mary daughter, Connie Allen and husband, Bari and daughter, Mary Martin 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of James River Care Center, Community Hospices of America, and Dr. Dahlberg for their compassion and commitment to quality care.
