Individual Details
Bruce Potter Bunje
(24 Nov 1944 - 12 Feb 2012)
Bruce Bunje, 67, of Colorado Springs took the trip of his lifetime on February 11, 2012. He has now been set free from pancreatic cancer and has been healed completely! Bruce may have lost his battle with cancer but he won the war. His victory was in Jesus! Bruce was the second child born into the loving family of Charles and Eleanor Bunje, who preceded him in death. Bruce was born on November 24, 1944, in Los Angeles, CA. Bruce graduated from Samo High in Santa Monica, CA. He studied Forestry at the University of Montana, then transferred to UCLA and became a Computer Programmer. All through his life, he had a great love for the outdoors and the beauty of God's creation. Bruce and Patti were married in 1991 in Fullerton, CA. Bruce had a wonderful sense of humor with a hearty laugh! In 1994, Bruce and Patti moved to Colorado Springs. After going on a mission trip in 1997 to a Russian orphanage, with their church, Woodmen Valley Chapel, they adopted 2 children. This completed Bruce's family, 3 children who he deeply loved! In 2007, Bruce's dream came true building a cabin in the mountains just outside of Salida, CO. This was Bruce's heaven on earth. Thanks to the wonderful staff at The Rocky Mountain Cancer Center and fantastic Christians friends around the world who faithfully prayed on Bruce's behalf! Survivors include his Wife Patti; Daughters Kimberly Bunje and Kaitlin Bunje; Son, Kevin Bunje; Sister Barbara Carter (Bill); Father-in-law Roy Nygren; Brother-in-law Chuck Nygren (Tatiana); Brother-in-law Ron Nygren; Brother-in-law Jeff Nygren; Niece Elizabeth Carter; Nephew Andy Carter (Julie); Nephew David Nygren; Nephew John Nygren (Faith); Nephew Brad Nygren (Amy); Nephew Greg Nygren (Megan); Niece Kristine Rygalski (Paul); Nephew Michael Nygren; 6 Great Nieces and 4 Great Nephews.
