Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Pearl Patterson, 95, of Alexander City, will be Monday, March 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Downey will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Patterson passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Russell Medical Center. She was born on April 28, 1916 in Frogeye, Alabama to Leslie Byron Hodnett and Martha Leola Hodnett. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Alexander City, AL. She was a hardworking lady who labored unselfishly for her family. She loved to cook and her favorite sport was basketball.
She is survived by her daughters, Anne Sharon Patterson of Alexander City, Carolyn Jean Barrett of Cedartown, GA, and Martha Jane Berryhill of Nebo, NC; son, Wayne Homer Patterson of Alexander City; and sister, Imogene Whatley of Alexander City, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Homer Patterson; her parents; a son, James Byron Patterson; sisters, Virginia Johnson, Maxine Norton, Clarice Nelson; and a brother, J.C. Hodnett.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 3266 Highway 280 Alexander City, Al 35010 and/or Lake Martin Hospice, 201 Mariarden Road Dadeville, AL 36853.
