Passed away peacefully in God's arms on January 29, 2006 in Sacramento, California.
Preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Zelda Stepp. Bill is survived by his four children, Lynda (Rebecca), Michael (Myra), Keith (Melisa), and Annette; brothers, Earle (Angie), and Oliver, and sister, Mary Dell Walker; grandchildren Rachel, Megan, Daniel (Melody), and Dale; and great-granddaughter, Ayla.
Bill was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on July 9, 1927. He served in the U.S. Navy, followed by careers operating a grocery store (Stepp's Saveway), sales and raising hogs in Missouri and Arkansas before retiring to Sacramento, California in 1994.
A 50 year Mason, Bill was a direct, hard working person, with high expectations, and a large, loving heart.
Bill had many friends and extended family that loved him and will miss him deeply.
Family and friends are welcome to attend his Memorial Service, Friday, February 3, 2006 at 2pm in the Chapel of East Lawn Memorial Park, 4300 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95819, (916) 732-2000.
