Maynard Lee Wiley, 92, of Sapulpa passed from this life on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Grace Living Center, Jenks, Oklahoma. He was born on December 30, 1924 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Ed and Myrtle (Ray) Wiley.
He was a glass operator by trade and worked for Liberty Glass for 33 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Maynard married Velma the love of his life on November 26, 1952 in Arkansas.
He is survived by wife, Velma Wiley of the home; son, Don Bilby and wife, Cindy of Tulsa; son, Tommy Bilby and wife, Judy of Bristow; granddaughter, Katina Smith and husband, Jerod of Kellyville; grandson, Donald Bilby, Jr of Cushing; granddaughter, Kim Washington and husband, Travis of Sapulpa; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Perkins of Coweta, Brice Smith of Ft. Carson, CO; Emily and Alan Washington of Sapulpa and Alyssa and Abbie Bilby of Tulsa; great-great-grandchild, Chevy Barnhart; and brother, Charlie Wiley.
He is preceded in death by parents, Ed and Myrtle Wiley; son, Billy Bilby; siblings, Floyd Wiley, Johnny Wiley, Raymond Wiley, Clarence Wiley, Howard Wiley, Dessie Wiley, Louis Cowan and Ruby Slater.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Smith Funeral Chapel, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery. (MB)
