Betty Ruth Spencer

Betty Wiley of Sapulpa went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2021 at the age of 95. Betty was born May 8, 1925 in Tulsa, OK and lived in this area most of her life. She and her husband, Floyd Wiley, shared a beautiful love story for more than 40 years, until he moved to his heavenly home on September 6, 1996. Betty was a member of Glenwood Assembly of God in Sapulpa. She was a hairdresser until she retired at the age of 70. Her hands were rarely still. Betty was a talented artist, seamstress, crocheter, quilter and an outstanding cook. She loved being an aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She especially cherished the time she spent with her 3rd great nephew, Chevy Barnhart.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lela Mathews and Gordon Spencer, her husband Floyd Wiley, her sister Lahoma Pierson-Hall, her brother in law, her Mainard Wiley nephews Tommy Bilby, Billy Bilby and Jesse Taylor.
Betty is survived by her sister Velma Wiley, her great niece/daughter, Kim Washington and her husband Travis Washington. her nephews Leonard Pierson and wife Linda, Donald Bilby and wife Cindy, and her niece, Renee Field and husband Robert. Betty is also survived great niece Katina Smith and her husband Jerod Smith. 2nd great niece Emily Washington and her husband Corey Barnhart. 2nd great nephew Alan Washington and Emily Colby. 2nd great niece Kelsey Bilby. 2nd great nephew Brice Smith. 3rd great nephew Chevy Barnhart. As well as many friends. Her spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who loved her.
Funeral services for Betty have been set for February 26, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa with Reverend Jerod Smith officiating.
