The following information was provided by Contributor Kenneth McNease:
William Henry "Bill" McNease was born in Texas (probably Shelby County) on October 18, 1874.
His Mother was Judy A. Hancock (born 1853 in Texas) and his Father was probably a J.W. McNease (born about 1857 in Texas). The 1880 U.S. Census shows the family of J.W. , J.A. (Judy) age 26, W.H. (Bill) age 4, and J.A. (younger brother age 3) living in Shelby County, Texas. He had a couple of brothers, but they didn't survive to adulthood.
He married Alice Stewart in 1897 and they had twins Laura & Larry McNease in February 1898. His son Larry died later that year and his wife Alice a few years later. Bill married Rena McDonald in March of 1904. Their son Buren was born in May 1905. Bill died of pneumonia the next year on January 23, 1906.
In 1900 Bill was working as a mill hand. He is laid to rest in White Rock Cemetery in Center, Texas. Buren put in a new headstone for his Father probably around 1980.
