Mildred Celeste Williams, 84, of El Centro passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 in Boise, Idaho.
Celeste was born in El Centro, CA and graduated from Central Union High School in 1947. Following graduation, she worked as a teller at Security Bank on Main Street, then as a bookkeeper for Eddie Maljan and Royal Farms for several years. She met her husband Jack in the summer of 1947 and they were married on December 11, 1948. Throughout her life, Celeste was involved in the following activities: St. Paul's Guild of Sts. Peter and Paul Episcopal Church, the Women's Ten Thousand Club, 4-H Cooking and Sewing Leader, the Claddagh Club, Imperial Valley Historic Society, PEO, and a variety of Bridge groups. Although she thoroughly enjoyed her involvement in these organizations, her greatest love was for her family. Celeste was a consummate homemaker and wonderful cook. She loved her family and took great delight in their visits to their El Centro home.
Celeste was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Virgil Williams; her father, James Millard Frost, her mother, Esther Bradshaw Frost; sisters, Betty Downer and Lorraine Blankenship.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Episcopal Church. Burial will be private.
She leaves behind her loving family; daughters, Melanie (Michael) Jackson of Redlands, CA; Cydney (Tommy) Mills of El Centro, CA; Kimberly (Tom) Key of Liberty, TX; Melissa (Dave) Berry of Eagle, ID, and Jacqueline (Scott) Schaefer of Edmond, OK; 11 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
