Wanda Rachel (Hough) Coppedge age 90 of White Oak, Texas passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018, in Longview, Texas. She was born on August 16, 1928, in Diana, Texas to James and Tessie Ferguson Hough. She was the youngest of eight children: Ruby Lee Hubbard; Tice Hough; James Milton Hough; Lola May Mathis; Fay Hough; William Hough and Catherine Morris. She marred Garrett B. Coppedge on September 28, 1946. They had three daughters, Wanda P. Andrews (James); Beverly J. Davis (Paul); and Barbara J. Craig (Dudley). She grew up in Diana, Texas and graduated from New Diana High School at the age of 16. She was a homemaker who loved to learn new things. Her passion was nutrition and read every book that she could find on the subject. She was a devoted wife, mother and church-goer. She left a lasting legacy of service to God and the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garrett; all of her brothers and sisters; and two grandsons, Charles Neal Yates and Benjamin Jared Yates.
She is survived by her children; and grandchildren, Anthony Cappadonna (Gia); Chris Sharp I (Lindsey); Stacia Pyeatt (Tom Ward); and Russell K. Sharp; great-grandchildren, Christopher Sharp II; Carly Sharp; Noah Sharp; and Adler Ward; as well as Cade Ward.
A Garden Court Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at Welch Funeral Home located at 4619 Judson Road Longview.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. with James Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Murray League Cemetery in Ore City with Anthony Coppedge, Christopher Sharp I, Christopher Sharp II., Rusty Sharp, Tom Ward and Carly Sharp serving as pallbearers.
