Sir Henry Pratt 1st Bt of Coleshill [Parents] was born in 1605 in Ryston, Norfolk. He died on 6 Apr 1647. He married Mary Adams in 1630.

Born ca 1590 or 1592. Came over with the Weston Colony in 1625 and first settled in Weymouth, MA. Married (in the year 1630) to Mary Priest, who was niece of Plymouth Pilgrim - Isaac Allerton (1586-1658). He died aged 90 years.

Source text: Page 7 PHINEHAS PRATT AND HIS DESCENDANTS "Enrolled among the "Forefathers," of Plymouth Colony in New England, as they were variously termed....are two men who bore the name of Pratt. These were Joshua and Phinehas, and they are supposed to have been brothers. Phinehas undoubtedly was the son of Henry. Tradition relates that the father of Henry was John, and that either John , or father of John was a Frenchman who bore the surname of Plat or Platt:...." Page 8-9 HENRY PRATT, the father of PHINEHAS, for preaching the gospel contrary to the rules of the Established Church of England, and as a Nonconformist minister, was imprisoned at the same time that over four hundred religious teachers were confined in damp and gloomy jails in England for the same offence. While thus incarcerated, he managed to communicate with his distressed family, by writing to them with the blood which he drew from his arm for the purpose. Whether he died in jail, as many of those devout and wretched prisoners did, or was released and lived in consequence, like scores of others is now unknown." Page 56 (REV. Born in England, M. 1630, Mary, daughter of Digerie and Mary (Allerton) Priest. d. he died April 19, 1680, age 90 on tombstone, born about 1590. His wife survived him about nine years. Children: eight children #2 John 3. Samuel 4. Daniel 5. Peter 6. Joseph 7. Aaron 8. Mary 9. Mercy
